DooDah Downtown and DooDah at Ikes rides scheduled for the entire year!!

Sunday August 1 - DooDahs Downtown Ride

Meeting at Maynard's Market 400 Toole, 6:30am.  10-13 miles of casual, easy paced riding.  Spandex not required, baskets on the bikes OK... :-)

Sunday August 8 - Twin Peaks on the Fixie

6am at Starbucks, University and Euclid and heading out to Silverbell north.  Take Twin Peaks East out to Sandario, south to Twin Peaks West, and back on in.  A few hills on this one.  I'll be on the Salsa fixed gear so pace won't be terribly quick...figure about 14-15mph average.  Come one, come all if the pace is to your liking.  Bring water folks, it will be toasty.  We will swing into the Circle-K on Silverbell near Coachline on the way back to replenish and recoupe a bit before finishing.  Just under 40 miles distance.

Sunday August 15 - Ikes Ride

Meet at Ikes Coffee House on Speedway, 6:30, and off we go for about 20 miles of casual riding.  We leave nobody behind.  This is probably not a ride for a mountain bike or even a cruiser.  Hybreds are probably fine, but a regular road bike is the best.  We won't be going fast, but the miles get harder with the heavier bikes like mountain and cruisers.  I suspect we shall head southeast, but I don't know for sure yet.  Minimum hillage.  Come join us!

Sunday September 5 - DooDahs Downtown Ride

Meeting at Maynard's Market 400 Toole, 7:30am.  10-13 miles of casual, easy paced riding.  Spandex not required, baskets on the bikes OK... :-)

Sunday September 19 - Ikes Ride

Meet at Ikes Coffee House on Speedway, 7:00, and off we go for about 23 casual miles.

Our ride pace can vary depending on who shows up - if just the 'usual suspects' show up, we may alter the route and pace to accommodate what the group wants to do.  Most rides we mark as casual and you can figure 14-15mph average.  If a ride is labeled 'not for beginner's'  it usually means we are riding harder, longer or up some steep climbs and newbies on the bike are going to have a tough time with it.  Rides marked for Beginner's are normally 12-13mph average and between 13 and 25 miles distance, mostly along flat bike routes or paths.
